NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bangalore came to the IPL 2023 mini-auction with seven slots available to fill and they completed their full squad of 25 players by spending Rs 7 crore on Friday. RCB, who had Rs 8.75 crore in their purse, are left with Rs 1.75 crore after the auction in Kochi. RCB bought five uncapped Indian players to complete their squad in the auction. IPL 2023: RCB pacer Vyshak Vijaykumar reveals how he became a fast bowler after initially starting as a batter : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Vyshak Vijaykumar recently revealed his journey from starting as a batter and gradually becoming a pace bowler.
Vyshak began as a batter and prioritized batting until the age of 17. Ramana, the coach at Basavanagudi Cricket Academy (BCA), was the one who convinced Vyshak of his potential as a fast bowler, but the process was not easy. “I used to go to BCA and there is a coach called Ramana. Batters & WKs – Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, Suyash Prabhudessai, Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat & Finn Allen RCB had a total of 5 batters and 3 wicket-keepers in their IPL 2023 campaign. Out of the eight players, the one player that disappointed the most is Dinesh Karthik.
- The star of RCB’s 2022 campaign had a miserable run in 2023 with close to 140 runs from 14 innings.
- With DK already at the flag end of his career, it looks difficult for RCB to invest in him.
